This is an initiative by Department of Mechanical Engineering to start a cell “Centre of Excellence for Technical Sales & Servics”

Centre of Excellence for Technical Sales and Services is aimed to rectify the Misconceptions about the Sales and Services Jobs and to train the Mechanical Engineering students for Purchasing, Sales and Service Jobs in Industries which is also a crucial part of Mechanical Engineering branch.

The role of technical sales engineers essentially involves translating and explaining highly complex technical information to customers and clients, focusing on revealing how a product or piece of equipment can solve specific problems. And after sales service plays an important role in customer satisfaction and customer retention. It generates loyal customers and increases a brand value. Customers start believing in the brand and get associated with the organization for a longer duration. Therefore sales and service engineers play an important role in the industrial organisations.

Aming this department of mechanical engineering started training module for the students so that they can combine technical knowledge with sales and service skills. Expert Session from industry people explain and guide the students how to handle the queries of customer. We have developed this training module to understnd the importance of Apperance (Dressing sense), Manners (Communication & Physical behavioyrs), Attitude (Confidencs & Enthusuastic), Know the product & Know the customer. Team-building exercises activities that will help them bond together as a team. Group exercises should be incorporated throughout the training.
