Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering Department at SISTec-E offers graduation and post graduation in Electrical Engineering. The branch of Electrical Engineering is one of the core sectors being the foundations of our Economy and Industrial sector. Applications of Electrical Engineering constitute all the various involving Automation and Instrumentation ranging from all diversified sectors.

We provide quality education in the field of Electrical Engineering. Our aim is to enable students to work independently on engineering and design projects with the ability to rethink existing concepts and develop new ones. We inculcate the required competence and skills in our students and prepare them to be industry-ready.

Department offers Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering. The curriculum of the Electrical Engineering Program comprises a compulsory part, electives, and finally a graduation project in which the student demonstrates his/her engineering ability to a high standard. All courses belonging to the program are taught in the English language.

The Department of Electrical Engineering conducts several workshops, seminars and industrial visits to provide practical education and give exposure relevant to present trends. We offer the students an opportunity for study and research, both theoretical and experimental. The lab facilities and the infrastructure are up to date and regularly upgraded from time to time.

The Department of Electrical Engineering strives to be a leader in education, training and competence development, producing high quality engineers. In this endeavor, the Department continually puts forth its efforts to develop knowledge and quality, upgrade and create new laboratory facilities, acquire adequate new equipment to keep abreast, contribute and progress in the emerging technologies and committed for rendering the best service to the society.

Programme Educational Objectives

PEO-01 Recognize as an Electrical Engineering professional in core and software industries by applying theoretical and practical knowledge.

PEO-04 Utilization of the latest tools and methods for the best possible outcome of problems of modern society and industry.

Programme Specific Outcomes

PSO-01 Apply the fundamentals of mathematics, science and engineering knowledge to identify, formulate, design and investigate complex problems of electrical engineering and allied domains.
PSO-02 Apply the appropriate techniques and use modern hardware and software tools in electrical engineering to adapt in multi-disciplinary environments.
PSO-03 Solve Ethically and Professionally various Electrical Engineering problems in Social and Environmental context and communicate effectively.
PSO-04 Knowledge and fundamentals of electrical engineering and management principles to handle engineering projects in multidisciplinary background as an individual or a leader.

Programme Outcomes

PO-01 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO-02 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, reviewer search literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO-03 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO-04 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO-05 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

This course consists of a four-year undergraduate programme imparting fundamental knowledge for continuous development in the field of Power Systems, Robotics , Drone Technology, Control systems, Power Electronics, IoT and Artificial intelligence in core disciplines such as electricity, electrical machines, electromagnetism that helps with maintenance and development of electrical equipment. It has various electives associated with it like Power Systems, Robotics and Control systems, Power Electronics, IoT and Artificial intelligence which help electrical engineering students have a good future scope.

B. Tech in Power System is typically a 2-year postgraduate level degree program, divided into 4 semesters. It is a course program focusing on both theoretical & practical aspects to research scholars in power system and renewable energy area. This PG-level course aims at producing trained professionals who can successfully deal with exact market demands. Nowadays the power industry, especially the renewable power sector has been extremely speedily growing compared to any other industry across the country.

Mr. Subinoy Roy received his M.Tech. with distinction in Power Systems from the National Institute of Technology(NIT), Nagaland, and his B.Tech. from Punjab Technical University. He is having about 7 years of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering which consist of both industrial as well as teaching experience. He has worked as a coordinator and co-coordinator for Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Short Term Training Programs (STTP) and successfully conducted these programs under TEQIP-III, RGPV Bhopal. He has worked as Editor and Conference coordinator in NCETSET-2019 i.e National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Science, Engineering & Technology”. He has successfully completed certification courses from the reputed platform like NPTEL and IEEE. He has guided M.Tech scholars and B.Tech students with their thesis and major project. He has attended many seminars and workshops. He has delivered expert lectures on Signals & Systems for RGPV-affiliated students in Madhya Pradesh and facilitated by the TEQIP-III coordinator, RGPV for his effort. His research area of interest is economic load dispatch, load frequency control optimization using soft computing techniques & PV system design.
