Electronics & Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at SISTec-E was established in year 2009 with state-of-the-art infrastructure and imparting knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering and its allied areas.

Department organizes regular TechTalks (an Industry Academia Interaction), Workshops (Short term training program) and industrial visits in every semester with an objective to enhance the practical knowledge of the students & to bridge a gap between Industry & Academics so they can be aware with the latest trends and demand of an Industry.

The Department encourages its students to make their projects & present them at various state & national platforms with an objective to incorporate their theoretical and practical skills into working model and also provide an opportunity for the students to demonstrate their learning experience through their innovations.

Department strongly feels its responsibility in placing all the students for their successful career, to achieve this department is creating an environment to make teaching more learning centric rather than curriculum centric, to achieve this goal we are running 3x3 model of skill based training module system which incorporates the latest technologies demanded by an Industry.

To become a centre of excellence in the field of electronics and communication by imparting knowledge, Practical Exposure and inculcating human values amongst students to transform them as potential resources to cater the industrial and social development through sustainable technology growth.

  • To engage modern education facilities, laboratories and competent faculties ensuring effective teaching learning process to meet the ever growing and challenging industrial environment.
  • To transform lives of the students by inculcating ethical values, creativity and innovation to become Entrepreneurs and establish Start-ups.

Programme Educational Objectives

PEO-01 To implement their knowledge, skills and resources to design, invent and develop novel technology and find creative and innovative solutions to engineering problems in a multidisciplinary work environment.
PEO-02 To acquire educational foundation that prepares them for professional careers / higher studies in the field of Electronics & Communication engineering.
PEO-03 To possess leadership qualities and be effective communicators to work efficiently with diverse teams, promote and practice appropriate ethical practices.
PEO-04 To develop attitude in lifelong learning, applying and adapting new ideas and technologies as their field evolves.

Programme Specific Outcomes

PSO-01 Apply the principles of Mathematics, Science & Engineering including their applications appropriate to solve the Electronics & Communication Engineering problems.
PSO-02 Apply the basic knowledge related to Electronic Devices & Circuits, Communication System, Digital Electronics, Digital Signal Processing, Microcontroller and Embedded Systems to solve various industrial problems.
PSO-03 Demonstrate proficiency in use of software and hardware required in real life applications.

Programme Outcomes

PO-01 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO-02 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, reviewer search literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO-03 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO-04 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO-05 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO-06 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO-07 Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO-08 Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practices.
PO-09 Individual and teamwork: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO-10 Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO-11 Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
PO-12 Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a four year professional undergraduate program which is focused on producing quality engineers capable of applying knowledge in electronics to facilitate communication and solve engineering problems. The main objectives of the B.Tech. (ECE) program is to produce engineers who are well prepared for Indian industry with necessary core competency to be successful in engineering/entrepreneurship careers.

Mr. Harvinder Singh Saluja is an Associate Professor and Head of Electronics & Communication Engineering Department at SISTec Ratibad Campus. He is Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication Engineering & Master of Technology in Digital Communication from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal. He has more than 16 years of Academic & Research Experience and has contributed enormously to the world of Electronics, Communication and Digital System. He is mentor and guide of M Tech and B Tech Students aspiring to contribute to the field of Electronics and Communication.

Dr. Yogesh Shrivastava

Associate Professor

Dr. Yogesh Shrivastava is an Associate Professor of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Sagar Institute of Science Technology and Research, Ratibad Bhopal. He received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal. He is a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). He is a potential reviewer of many journals such as IEEE Transactions on Device Materials and Reliability, IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, IEEE Access, and more. He has authored research articles in international journals/conference proceedings. His current research interests include Multi-valued logic design implementation, FPGA applications, Analog to Digital Converters and Low power VLSI design.

He is graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Government Rewa Engineering College Rewa, MP in 2007 and Post Graduated in Mobile Computing Technology from School of Electronics UTD, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore in 2012. He has over 8 years of Teaching, Research, and Administrative Work Experience at various levels. He is GATE qualified in Electronics & Communication Engineering in the year 2010.

A skilled and qualified educational professor with expertise in implementing and developing educational tools and technologies in classrooms, Mr. Prasant Kumar completed his B. E. and M.Tech. degrees with honours. He was honoured with Silver Medal from the Governor of Madhya Pradesh in July 2012 and by Cabinet Minister of Agriculture & Farmer Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar during his Master’s degree. He has been honored in several courses from world top universities such as “The State University of New York, Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), etc. He has completed courses offered by IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Bombay in UAS Autonomy, Real-Time Simulation in Smart Grid, IoT Applications, etc. He published/presented 15 research papers & organized more than 20 industrial visits for students' skilled-based learning.
