The Department of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC), recently organized a highly successful workshop on Amplifying Research Profile with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). This workshop was generously sponsored by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST Bhopal).
The workshop featured a distinguished lineup of speakers who shared their expertise and insights on various aspects of IPR. In the first session, Dr. Sandeep Singhai, a renowned Ph.D. holder in Engineering from CSIR-AMPRI Bhopal, delved into the technical aspects of IPR in recent technology. His presentation shed light on the intricacies of protecting intellectual property in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
The second session was led by Dr. Atul Pandey, a distinguished professor of Cyber Law and the Head of the Department of Cyber Law at NLIU Bhopal. Dr. Pandey provided valuable insights into the legal aspects of IPR in the present scenario. His expertise in the field of cyber law added a unique perspective to the workshop, highlighting the importance of safeguarding intellectual property in the digital age.
Mrs. Puja Vikas Maulikar, an Examiner of Patents & Designs from RGNIIPM Nagpur, Maharashtra, interacted with the audience for the third session. She engaged the participants in a discussion about the examination process for patents and designs, emphasizing the need to avoid discrepancies with existing designs. Her expertise in this area provided participants with practical knowledge on how to navigate the patent examination process effectively.
The final session was conducted by Mr. Vikash Asawat, a Registered Patent & Trademark Attorney from Kota, Rajasthan. Mr. Asawat enlightened the participants on the different types of IPR, including copyrights, patents, and trademarks. He also provided valuable guidance on how to file patents and copyrights, equipping the participants with the necessary knowledge to protect their intellectual property.
The workshop on "Amplifying Research Profile with IPR" was a resounding success, with participants gaining valuable insights into the various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The speakers were experts in their respective fields and provided clear and concise explanations of the complex concepts involved. The participants were actively engaged throughout the workshop and had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts. The workshop was a valuable learning experience for all participants and will undoubtedly help them to protect their research innovations.
