The Department of Civil Engineering, SISTec - R organised an Expert Lecture on "Highway Engineering", on April, 04, 2023 for the Second Year and Pre-Final year students of the Department of Civil Engineering.

The Expert for the session was Mr. V.K. Kankane, (Technical Head, CM RISE Scheme.) During the session, Mr. V.K. Kankane Sir provided an explanation of the different standards used for designing highways. He also discussed the vast potential of civil engineering in today's world and encouraged students to pursue careers in this field. Additionally, Kankane Sir briefed the students on the NHAI projects and the various stages involved in road design. The students found the session to be informative and expressed their gratitude to the expert for sharing their knowledge.
