Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec Ratibad hosted team SISTec MBA for a Two-Day Student Development Program (SDP) for BTech pre-final year students on the topic "Finance for Budding Engineers". Finance is one of the critical pillars of any organization. Decisions made without properly understanding the financial implications may lead to reduced profits (or even losses) and a reduction in shareholder value. The SDP on "Finance for Budding Engineers" provided basic financial principles and covered generic financial management tools necessary for decision-making.

The objective of this SDP was to raise the level of financial awareness of participants and enable them to use the financial information provided to make better short-term and long-term business decisions by understanding the concepts like Time Value of Money, Mutual Fund Concepts and Analytics, Loan Amortization, GST, Cost Sheet Analysis, Project Appraisal, Project Financing, Export Financing, Sources of Finance, Inventory Management, Tendering, etc. To aid better understanding and conceptual clarity, extensive hands-on practice on various topics were conducted in the labs using the MS Excel platform.
